Presenter details and authentication on forms
Two sections appear on almost every Companies House form that sometimes puzzle people: Presenter information and Authentication.
Presenter information
The presenter is simply the person or firm submitting the form — usually you, the agent. The block is optional: it gives Companies House someone to contact if there is a query, and it appears on the public record. Fill in your firm once on the Firm details screen and Compaxit prints it on any form with one tick — untick to leave it blank or type different details for a one-off.
Authentication
Paper forms are authenticated by the authorised person — a director, secretary or other person named on the form. Companies House accepts a printed name in the Signature box; an actual signature also authenticates. Compaxit fills the printed name for you (tick on by default), or places a chosen signatory’s signature there instead, or leaves the box blank for wet ink if you untick it.
Neither section changes what is being filed — they identify who is filing and who authorised it.
